The present workshop is an initiative of the DIGILAB working group of the IperionHS project, Resinfra-EU-LAC , and ANTECIPA ; as part of the SEM-EDS data interoperability pilot.

The main lecturer is Prof. Dr. Nestor Zaluzec from Argonne National Laboratory, Northern Illinois University, and the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Nicholas Ritchie from NIST will also give a talk. And the practical demonstration sessions will be performed at Centro de Microscopia da UFMG .

The official language of the workshop will be English. The scheduled time zone is Brasilia, which is 3 hours ahead of Chicago and 4 hours behind Central Europe (Brussels, Rome, etc.)
