Objectives
EU-LAC ResInfra’s main goal is to to enhance the bi-regional collaboration regarding Research Infrastructures. To achieve this, the project will also pursue:
Generate a Dashboard and a database updated of infrastructures available for EU-LAC
The dashboard and the database will be a public gateway that could be an evidence-based decision in terms of funding or launching new training programmes for stakeholders on EU-LAC RIs
Monitor and Map the development of EU-LAC bi-regional cooperation projects.
Develop a federating information system from numerous European and Global RIs and other databases to identify the cooperation projects under development
Identify Future Cooperation Priorities
Identify new areas covered by actual programmes un CYTED: agri-food, health, industrial development, sustainable development, ICT, science and society, and energy. Additionally aims to extend the RI monitoring to the broadest number of American countries
Foster the exchange of best practices between the EU and LAC
Promote areas of common strategic relevance, such a regional road-mapping procedures, RI management, RI funding across the life cycle, data exchange, and co-development of research and innovation capabilities.
Identify remaining bottlenecks to research infrastructures cooperation between the two regions
Identify existing challenges and impediments to collaboration and investigate methods to neutralize/reduce negative effects variables, build routes to steer cooperation activities, and design roadmaps for the developing activities.
Support the development of RI staff through cascade training
Building bridges between RI stakeholders, RI staff, and RIs in the EU-CELAC RI area by encouraging the implementation of joint staff exchange and training programs between the EU and CELAC.
Define and implement a proactive and comprehensive Communication and Dissemination Plan
Ensure optimal dissemination and uptake of project results for the benefit of the RI community in both regions.
